I looked through the Sports section and found no forum for baseball(nor basketball) so I'm posting this in the lounge.

I'm a big fan of Major League Baseball particularly the New York Yankees. I also like the promise the Washington Nationals show this season.

Anyone else follow MLB?

I know there aren't that many people interested in this manga, but I thought I'd start a discussion for those who do or just want to rant about it. Whatever you like.

I've kept up with it, patiently waiting for updates. So many questions have FINALLY been answered concerning Ren, but we still haven't gotten to the end! Oh, and has anyone seen the Tawain drama adaptation of this? It's practically a replica of the anime, but the end is going to be different. It's still running and they have 2 more episodes left. I think.

Counting With Pictures

RULES: In this game each member who wants to participate must find a picture where a number is shown. For example, if a previous member has posted a picture with number 22 on it, the next member must find and post a picture with number 23 on it.

For a game to work better, each member participating in the game must not post two times in a row, but must wait for another member to reply first. I will make only one exception, as a starter of the thread, and I will post five pictures depicting numbers from 1 to 5, and the next member should post a picture showing number 6. All pictures depicting violence, sexual content or any other family-unfriendly material are forbidden! Enjoy!

PS: If you don´t know how to find and post a picture with a number, go to Google - Images, type the number in the search box, and get the results. Choose an image you want to post, and copy its URL. Open the reply box at Epic Forums withing this thread, click on Insert image icon in the menu above, and paste the URL of the picture. That´s all!

Star Trek - Fan Thread

Star Trek was the first SF TV series launched ever, with a unique idea of exploring the universe. It all happened in 1960´s when the first series was launched. Nobody had never seen anything like Star Trek before. Yes, people knew about SF movies or books, but a series? Star Trek was the first of its kind ever.

When the Original Series was made some fourty-fifty years ago, it was purely experimental. The producers had serious doubts about its rating, and the budget of the series was ridiculosly small. Almost before each episode was launched, the producers always had to fight with TV managers in order to continue with airing of the Star Trek, because TV people wanted to abort the project, due to low rating.

But somehow, the cast and their characters found the way to the hearts of fans. Although effects were cheap, the sound and video quality silly, the characters and their adventures became very popular among the audience, in spite of many doubts the producers and managers had. Mr. Spock, Captain Kirk, Uhura, Bones, Scottie, they remained popular to the very day today.

Later, when The Next Generation and other sequels were made, things were much easier for both the cast and crew and TV managers. The show had already became popular and the budget was raised and everything became a lot better.

One archaeologist once said: In all the world, you can find a village or a city without a school, a City Hall, without a hospital, without a sewer system, without roads, but nowhere could we able to find a village, no matter how small, or a city, without a temple or a church.

It seems that people all over the world, regardless of cultural heritage, need religion of some kind. It is said that even people who don´t believe in God (or gods), who are atheists, actually do believe in something else, and this "else" represents their religion. Why do people always need to believe in something super-natural? In something that is transcendental, above them, above the whole world? Animals don´t believe in anything, they don´t even have the concept of "believing". If we are creatures who had developed from animal kingdom, where, when and why did we developed the concept of faith? Why do we actually need it? Are there people who are capable in believing in nothing? Is atheism also a type of faith (I believe there is no God)?

I personally believe in God, but my concept of God differs from everything the mainstream churches say about God. What about you?

Windows 8. is the upcoming version of Microsoft Windows that follows Windows 7. It features a new Metro-style interface that is designed for touchscreen, mouse, keyboard, and pen input. It also adds support for the ARM processor architecture in addition to the previously supported x86 microprocessors from Intel and AMD. Its server counterpart is codenamed Windows Server 8. A release date for the finished version of Windows 8 has not yet been announced. The most recent prerelease version is the Consumer Preview, which was released on February 29, 2012.

I think it was very fair to start up a thread by what the sub-section said: "How much money have you made?".
I have been working for around 4-5 months now, and I'm about to hit my $100 mark. I am not much of a PTC person, and believe in actually working, like Freelance writing and stuff.
What do you say about this?
